Kabbah

Depois do almoço fomos para Kabbah que estava apenas há 10 minutos de Uxmal. Estava muito quente mas estavamos dispostos a conhecer um pouco mais da civilização maia. 

After our lunch we went to Kabbah that was just 10 min away from Uxmal. It was very hot but we were willing to visit a little bit more of the Mayan civilization. 

Fotinho aqui com a Jézinha pra ela ficar feliz. Tava presente com a gente lá também. Este templo foi recentemente descoberto então o processo de restauração já começou. O acesso era restrito e poucas construções foram expostas. 

Little picture here with Jezinha so she can be happy. She was present with us over there too. This temple was recently discovered so the restoration process has begun. The access was restrict and few building were exposed. 

Hermanito passeando atras da construção. O processo demora um pouco e eles precisam de bastante investimento. Essa foto mostra como os arqueólogos encontram todas as coisas que foram enterradas com o tempo. 

Hermanito was walking behind the construction. The process takes long and they need a lot of investment. This picture shows how archaeologists find these things buried with time.

Essa foto já mostra como eles trabalharam em parte da restauração. Eles simplesmente pegam as pedras e restauram. Como eles sabem o formato correto aí vai da imaginação deles eu acho. A parte bonitinha que cobre o que foi encontrado é segundo me disseram material de sacrifício que esconde o que estava antigo para preservação. 

This picture shows how they worked in part of the restoration. They simply take the rocks and restore them. How they know the right shape is on their imagination, I assume. The cute side that covers what it was found before is according to what I have been told "sacrifice material" that hides the old part in order to preserve it.

Hermanito já tava cansado e com calor e aproveitando todas as sombras possíveis. O pai tava curtindo andar por todos os lados. Tanto que eu tive que chamar a atenção porque ele já estava andando em lugar proibido. 

Hermanito was tired and suffering with the heat trying to be under all shade possible. Dad was having fun with his own exploration walking all over the places. He was going so far that I had to scold him because he was going through forbidden places. 

Depois a gente foi para uma outra área e observamos a construção já sendo restaurada. Esse complexo acredita-se tem 3 construções e uma praça central. Essa praça estava cercada de cisternas e o guia falou para a gente ter cuidado e não cair nelas. Eu queria andar por aí mas o guia disse que teríamos pouco tempo para ir ver o arco então ele achava que a gente teria que escolher entre um lugar ou outro. Então o povo resolveu ir ver o arco. 

Afterwards we went to another site and we observed the building that was being restored. This complex is believed to be composed of 3 buildings and the main plaza. This plaza was surrounded by cisterns and the guide told us to be careful with them so not to fall. I wanted to walk over there but the guide said that we had little time to go to see the arch so he thought we had to choose between one and the other. So they preferred to see the arch.

Caminhei um tempo ae com o hermanito. A gente viu uma iguana doidona correndo da gente e pulando na parede e uns pássaros por aí. Mas quando virei pra tras o hermanito já tinha ido com eles. Fiquei com medo de ficar sozinha e fui correndo pra lá. 

I walked a bit with hermanito. We saw a crazy iguana running away from us and jumping on the wall and some birds over there. But when I turned around hermanito was already gone with them. I was scared to be by myself so I ran after them.

O pai tava todo contentinho indo na frente querendo ser o 1o desbravador.

Dad was happy going in front of  us wanting to be the 1st pioneer.

Chegando lá, pose para foto. Os arcos uniam uma cidade maia da outra. Então esse trecho comunicava Kabbah e Uxmal.

As soon when we got there we took pics. The arches were suppose to connect one Mayan citizen to another. So this trail communicated Kabbah to Uxmal. 

Pai todo feliz porque chegou no arco 1o. 

Dad was all happy because he got to the arch 1st. 

Como eu estava dizendo no vídeo, nos filmes sci-fi que a gente vê por aí, o povo some quando atravessa o arco, mas o pai não quis nem saber. E entrou lá. 

As I was saying on the video, those sci-fi movies that we see, people tend to disappear when they cross the arch but dad didn't care. And he walked through it.
